What iCareFone for WhatsApp Transfer is for
Tenorshare describes it as a WhatsApp chat mover: transferring WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business between Android and iPhone without a factory reset, restoring a Google Drive backup to an iPhone, merging old and new chats, and backing up WhatsApp and a few other chat apps to a computer. It can also export WhatsApp chat history to the computer as HTML files.
Where iCareFone is stronger
- Android and iPhone, both directions. If you are moving from Android to an iPhone or the other way, iCareFone is built for it. Chatcove only reads an iPhone, and never writes to a phone.
- WhatsApp Business and GBWhatsApp. Listed by Tenorshare. Chatcove supports the regular WhatsApp app only.
- Windows and a wider range of Macs. There is a Windows edition, and the Mac download is offered for macOS 27 and below with no Apple Silicon-only requirement stated. Chatcove needs an Apple Silicon Mac on macOS 12 or later.
- Five phones per licence. Useful if you manage several phones from one Mac.

- Nothing to sign in to. No account, and no server for your chats. Backup, reading and exporting work with the network off.

The page also offers a 7-day free trial that renews at $29.95 a month unless you cancel, and annual business plans from $79.95.
What format does iCareFone export WhatsApp chats to?
Tenorshare's product page says it exports WhatsApp chat history to the computer as HTML files. Chatcove exports to HTML, PDF, TXT and CSV. If you specifically need a PDF or a spreadsheet, check that before choosing.
Is iCareFone's WhatsApp backup free?
Tenorshare's product page lists backing up WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, GBWhatsApp, Kik and Viber on a computer as free for iOS. Transfer and restore need a paid licence. Chatcove's equivalent free part is the backup plus reading your entire history; exporting everything is the paid part.
Can I use iCareFone to move WhatsApp from Android to an iPhone?
Yes, that is its headline feature, including restoring a Google Drive backup to an iPhone. Chatcove cannot: it reads an iPhone's WhatsApp history on a Mac and does not write anything to a phone.
