Chatcove

Who makes Chatcove

Chatcove reads your entire message history, so the honest first question is who wrote it and where that history ends up. This page answers both, with a real name, a real company and an address you can look up.

The person

Chatcove is built by Nadav Cohen, co-founder of Codama. It started the way most small tools do: needing to get a WhatsApp history off an iPhone and onto a Mac, finding that the good option had just moved to a yearly subscription, and deciding the job was small enough to do properly for a one-off price.

If you want to look us up before you install anything, Codama is on LinkedIn, and the company details in the next section are all checkable: the legal entity, the registered office, and a live inbox.

The company

Chatcove is sold by Codama Advanced Engineering, Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation, registered at 8 The Green, Ste A, Dover, DE 19901, USA. Codama is a software agency and has been building software for clients since 2021. Chatcove is our own product rather than client work, which is why it is priced the way it is: the agency pays the bills, so the app does not have to pay them twice a year.

Why it never leaves your Mac

A tool that opens your message history is a tool that could quietly copy it. We designed around that rather than asking to be trusted on it. There is no account to create, no server to sign in to, and no analytics that carry chat content, because there is no backend for your data at all.

The useful part is that you do not have to take our word for it. Chatcove works with the network turned off. The licence check is an offline signature, so you can pull the Wi-Fi, run a full backup, browse every conversation and export the lot, and nothing about that flow needs the internet. If an app can do its whole job offline, it is not sending your data anywhere.

  • No account and no sign-in. You download the app and it works.
  • No cloud processing. The backup, the decryption and the export all happen on your Mac.
  • No chat content in telemetry. Your messages, contacts and media never reach us, because nothing is uploaded.
  • Signed and notarised by Apple. The build is signed and Apple-notarised under the Codama Inc developer team, so macOS can verify it came from us and has not been tampered with.

Where we are, honestly

Chatcove is new. The first public build shipped in September 2026 and it is version 0.1.0. It does one job, WhatsApp history from an iPhone to a Mac, and it needs an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later) on macOS 11 or later. That is the whole product. If you need a full device manager, or you are on an Intel Mac or Windows, we are not the right answer and we would rather say so here than after you have paid.

This is also why the app lets you read your entire history before you buy anything. Install it, connect your iPhone, and check that your own data looks right, including right-to-left languages and media, while it is still free. Paying $9 unlocks exporting, and by then you already know whether it works on your chats.

Getting in touch

Email hello@chatcove.app for support, refunds, bugs, or to tell us the export mangled something. It is a small operation, so replies come from a person rather than a ticket system.

Read your whole history free. Pay $9 only to export it.

Chatcove runs entirely on your Mac. No account, no cloud, nothing uploaded. One payment, two Macs, no subscription.

Requires an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later) on macOS 11 or later.
